Ascot racecourse was drastically altered in 2005.
A new stand was built, and the straight course was moved by 42 metres.
The whole of the straight mile was disrupted, and there was a lot of re-turfing.
All these alterations meant that the straight mile was a new course in 2006.
The Ascot charts therefore start from scratch, showing only 2006 results onwards.

Only a few results, and nothing to get excited about.
A mile on a straight course is a very long distance for the draw to have an effect.
There were splits in races of 30 runners which appear to have favoured Low numbers, but in the race 2 of 30, only horses, drawn 27 & 29, raced High.
Also, 2 races is a very small sample.

2006 results :- 2-9, 6-10, 15-16, 17-17, 4-19, 4-21, 16-22, 2-30, 3-30,

The highest stall is positioned next to the rail, but so far this hasn't been beneficial.
At most courses, races over 1m don't produce a worthwhile draw advantage.
