Quite a well known advantage.
There is a right hand bend shortly after the start in these races, which appears
to favour horses drawn High to some extent.
On good or better going, the Top
half, Bottom half split greatly favours the Top half of the draw by 29 wins to
68.
7 other winners were drawn dead centre.
In races of 8 or more runners, the Top 6 stalls won 73 of 104 races 70 %.
There are obvious spreads of results in races of 8 - 10 runners, and again in
races of 17 or more runners.
In between, in races of 11 - 16 runners, the Top 6 stalls won 40 of 51 races 78 %.
In 2004 on good or better going, in
races of 11 - 16 runners, the Top 6 stalls won 6 of 8 races.
In 2005 the Top 6 stalls won 4 of 5 races, and
In 2006 the Top 6 stalls won 1 of 4 races under those conditions.
These 7F races show some inconsistency.

the Top 6 stalls won 40 of 51 races 78 %.
The good/good to soft in places or softer going
results follow a similar pattern but with far fewer results.
In races of 11 to 16 runners, the Top 6 stalls won only 1 of 3 races during
