Lingfield sometimes use a false
running rail to move the High rail in by approximately 10 yards.
On good or better going, a very weak pattern.
The Bottom half, Top half splits shown at the bottom of the chart are very even,
42 wins and 41.
3 other winners were drawn dead centre.
The Bottom 6 stalls won 41 of 86 races 47%, the Top 6 won 40 races.
You will no doubt see newspaper advice that recommends a Middle to High draw
advantage in these races, but results prove that in the long term, there is no
significant advantage to any section of the stalls on good or better going.
On good,
good to soft in places or softer going with the
stalls positioned High, the Top 6 stalls won 15 of 16 races 94 %.
The recommendation for 2005 was that this was one
to keep an eye on.
During 2005 there were 7 winners in 7 races under those conditions.
There were no races in 2006 on that type of going.
There is a very good supporting pattern in 5F races, but with less results.

11-17, 3-18, 5-18, 5-18, 15-18
2005 results :-

All races had stalls positioned High.
