Totals are shown for the
number of wins from stalls 1 to 6 and the Top 6 stalls on good or better
going.
Also the Bottom half and Top half totals are shown, again on good or
better going, 43 wins and 10 wins.
This is a very well known draw advantage,
and is an excellent example of a Low draw advantage pattern.
You can see immediately that stalls 1 to 6, the cells highlighted in
yellow, have won all
but 11 of these 56 races.
In races of 12 or more runners, there have been very few wins from the Top
6 stalls,
( cells highlighted in
blue ).
Surprisingly for such a well known advantage, results are not clustered as close
together in 3
or 4 stalls as one might expect, but are spread within stalls 1 - 6, so you
would be well advised not to concentrate on stalls 1, 2, and maybe 3, as is
sometimes
suggested in the media.
Analysis.
On good or better going (results shown in black), the bottom half, Top half
split shown at the bottom of the chart has favoured the Bottom half of the
draw by 43 wins to 10.
3 other winners drawn 5 of 9, 6-11, and 8-15 were drawn dead centre.
On good or better going, the Top 6 stalls won only 14 of 56 races 25%.
On good or better going, in races of 8 or more
runners, stalls 1 - 6
won 49 of 56 races 87 %.
On good or better going, in races of 13 or more runners,
the Top half
of the draw won
0 in 22 races.
On good/good
to soft in places or softer going,
results shown in red,
stalls 1 to 6 won 16 of 20 races 80 %.
2006 results :-
Winner drawn in stall 5 of 8 runners, 1 of 9, 1-10, 6-10,
1-12, 5-12, 5-15,
1-16, 2-16
Results on
good, good to soft in places or softer going
